Paul Reeves began collecting British furniture and artefacts over forty years ago. He opened his first shop in 1976 dealing in items from the 19th and 20th centuries. He was previously a successful clothing designer with premises on London's Fulham Rd. Until the opening of the gallery on London's Kensington Church Street in 1981 he also designed interiors for select clients, echoing the decorative philosophy of the design movements which he so admired.
